I have to report that The Oaks is an amazing place. It made our very first official guild retreat in 2019 something really special. We had a fabulous weekend with a group from our guild, Texas Tea Stitchers. Our group of stitchers completed several new quilt tops, finished several UFO’s. Our Hostess, Diane, surprised us with fancy hats and Derby Day Mint Julep’s in order to celebrate the Kentucky Derby. We watched the Derby in the large Gathering Room and cheered on the horses! Meals were catered by Diane and were served at the table. Staff even gathered our plates for us. We didn’t have to lift a finger except to sew! — Kelly Allen, Member
